Blaine and Carrin

Blaine and I were married on Aug. 10, 1982 in the Los Angeles Temple. We have 7 children. I gave birth to 4 and then we adopted a sibling group of 3. We love all of our children so much!! We now have 6 grandchildren. I love the ocean and Catalina is one of my favorites places. Blaine loves the mountains and fishing and hunting, he also loves Catalina. I have traveled across the US on the southern route. We went to college in Rexburg, Idaho when we first got married.

Aquarium Trip

We had a lot of fun at the aquarium on Memorial Day, thank you so much Quinn for getting us all in!! The weather was great too. Emilee and Gary got to come too. Quinn showed us where he works as an intern, the boys had fun touching all the sting rays and baby sharks. Andrew reached in and picked one up, almost as big as him, oops, Grannie and her pictures of us with food in our mouth is a tradition, lol

summer heat

Wow it was 103 yesterday and should be hotter today, we swam yesterday. My lovely grandson James pushed me into the pool, one way to get used to it quickly, lol I put Sammie in the pool and she swam over and climbed on the boogie board, silly dog

Chopping Onions

Well this time I grabbed my camera, dad is making homemade chili and to avoid his eyes from watering he simply wears a swim mask, he can see and no eye watering. I wonder if anyone else ever thought of this?? LOL

Cabin

Well Blaine and I went to the cabin. We were able to finally drag that shed in the road down to a flat spot next to the old outhouse. The weather was cool, it was 42 at night and 62 at mid day. So nice! I only heard Blaine say once, I would be taking my test now in Hawaii, I know he is bummed about it but there just was no way we could afford the airline ticket, the lowest were 495.00. Then if he passed he would have to fly back for an interview. We just didn't have even an extra 100.00, so I guess the timing was bad. The kitchen has hot water but Blaine forgot the piece in the garage to fix the cold, but we need a plumber (anyone know someone?) because the water is not draining and the toilets have back up and even the shower has backed up. We also need an electrician, if the so we stop tripping the breaker all the time and fix the porch light. It was nice and quiet up there and I love the cooler weather and fresh air. Back to work tomorrow, I just wish my foot would stop hurting!!!

Blah Days

My left foot has been in so much pain, I even got an aircast to wear this last week at work so the cortisone shots he gave me could help reduce the swelling, it helped the foot but gave me a bruise on my sensitive shins from my varicose veins. I've been run down and had headaches too, I know most of it is caused by pain and stress, stress over Garrett and his choices or lack of. He signed up for BC and is living with "friends", that doesn't mean a lot unless he actually goes and passes the classes, time will tell. I enjoyed staying with Andrew while mom took James' to the doctor. He snuggled up with me while we watched spongebob and Max set on my head. The boys came over today and helped me carry in groceries, vacuum, dust and of course they helped Papa int he garage. I enjoyed watching James dance to his "had a bad day" song that I put on his computer. They were so good and they are both soooo sweet and precious. I'm ready for another trip to Hawaii, lol. Blaine decided it just isn't practical for him to pay 600.00 r so to fly back there to take that test on the Big Island, especially sinse we are 400.00 short this month as it is. ugh! A change in withholdings wasn't worth it so we prompltly changed them back.
