Blaine and Carrin

Blaine and I were married on Aug. 10, 1982 in the Los Angeles Temple. We have 7 children. I gave birth to 4 and then we adopted a sibling group of 3. We love all of our children so much!! We now have 6 grandchildren. I love the ocean and Catalina is one of my favorites places. Blaine loves the mountains and fishing and hunting, he also loves Catalina. I have traveled across the US on the southern route. We went to college in Rexburg, Idaho when we first got married.

Nice Time in the Temple

We went to the Temple to do sealings and my mom was sealed to her parents who are deceased. The spirit was very strong and I so enjoyed having my son Devonn and his wife Carla and my daughter Emilee and her husband Gary there with us. I just love being in the Temple.

Memories are sweet

Came across this one while doing all my summer sorting, isn't dad cute and aren't I skinny, lol. It was 1980 and I was 17 and he was 20. He sure turned out to be my best friend, a great husband and father!! Happy Father's Day!

It's nice to be off

Well other than being sick this last week, I've enjoyed being off and cleaning out junk drawers and dressers and closets. There is always something to do, I don't like the heat but plan to start swimming now that it is heating up. Looking forward to Quinn's visit tomorrow and going to the Temple next Friday. June has been a nice lazy month, If I still got a paycheck it would be perfect, lol. We might be eating a lot of mac and cheese and grilled cheese sandwiches. At least my summer pay paid the FJ payments through the end of Sept. I love my family! Silly Sammie with the purple monkey.

Forgiveness

Forgiving is hard, especially when you've been hurt so badly. I've had to ponder this principle a lot lately and I truly have had to put it to the test. Holding on to the pain is worse than letting it go but it's not an easy process, some days I feel the peace of letting it go and then the pain creeps up and engulfs me again. Like I said it is a process. I am grateful for the gospel in my life and I am grateful for the Temple and the peace I feel there. I am grateful for my grandchildren and the unconditional love they give.

Silly Boys

The boys stayed the night and James decided he wanted to play Scaler, a mario type game and the kid is good, he can outplay me, lol. He played with Jazmine's help while Andrew took a nap. We had fun watching Ratatouille, mowing the yard, and taking the dogs for a walk. It was too cold to swim, maybe next time. James attempted to have rest time upstairs but I gave up and let him play Scaler instead.
