I loved Stake Conf. and especially the talk based on a conference talk finding joy in the journey. I think sometimes we get so wrapped up in all the problems in life we forget to look around and enjoy what we have right at this moment. Yes I have my share of heartaches with debt and wayward children but I also have so much to enjoy right now and be thankful for. I love being at Thorner and having my grandson there, I can peek in on him, see him on his playground and when he comes to computer lab. I love having Devonn, Carla, James and Andrew in our ward. I love sitting with them and having Andrew fall asleep in my arms. I love having Andrew in Nursery with me. I am so happy to have Quinn at home finishing his college degree at Cal State, he adds a lot of humor to our home. I love that Emilee and Gary live so close and enjoy having them come down and visit and spend the night, or us go there and visit and have some Shaved Ice. I love that we can still all vacation together. I enjoy the hectic soccer season and watching Jazmine and James play and getting to see my granddaughter Kaydance at the games and have her sit in my lap. I know life is ever changing and these moments won't be here forever so I am going to try to enjoy living in the moment and not worry so much.

Hands down my favorite talk of the day (though all were pretty good!). And so appropriate for the current times, I think. I think his talk spoke to a lot of people yesterday. Our priesthood leaders are truly inspired.
Thanks :) We enjoy visiting you too! The shaved ice rules, huh?
Finding light in hard times definitely makes things better! Just kneeling down and praying for thanks, or keeping a gratitude journal makes days much easier.
You have many blessings waiting for you...raising 7 children in the Gospel definitely doesn't sound easy! There's also the promise made to you in the temple when we were all sealed together as a family. Life is hard now, but the rewards in the end will be way worth it!
